Hopefully you are aware that a Human
Society and its Environment (HSIE) survey was sent home this week? In HSIE we
are investigating the topic “The Way We Were” which is all about learning about
the past, how things have changed and what has remained the same. So far we
have investigated transport and school. If the class remembers one thing, I’m
sure it will be that students used to get the cane! And wasn’t it interesting hearing
reports of which parents are quite familiar with this particular aspect of
school in the past!
Students have been asked to return their
survey on (or before) next Wednesday 29th May please. I hope this is not too
difficult and most importantly that they have fun finding out some things about
the past!
This week and last week our grammar focus
in reading and writing activities has been adjectives, and how they can enhance
descriptions. Please feel free to see what your child can tell you about
adjectives.
Also, it is that time of the year where we are
going through boxes of tissues very quickly. Please note that any donations of
tissue boxes are always welcomed and greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Mrs Veronica Robinson
